TELLURIDE, Colorado (October 9, 2025) – Colorado Flights Alliance (CFA) has announced expanded air service into Montrose and Telluride Regional Airports for Winter 2025–26. This season’s overall capacity will be up 3–4% year-over-year, featuring a significant addition to Los Angeles service, new flights from Nashville (BNA) in March, and other additions.

United Airlines will more than double its Los Angeles (LAX) – Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) service this winter by increasing from 2 to 5 flights weekly throughout the season. Flights will operate Thursday-Monday, providing excellent options for both weekend and week-long travel.

“LA is a phenomenal market for Telluride and the Western Slope, and we are glad to provide this significant increase in flights for Southern California skiers and riders, as well as locals heading to warmer climates this winter,” said Matt Skiner, CEO of Colorado Flights.

United will also be adding mainline 737 jets on Saturdays from Houston (IAH), increasing that service by 17% this winter. New York/Newark (EWR) and Chicago (ORD) will continue with daily flights except in January-early Feb, SFO will run twice-weekly, and United will continue to fly larger mainline jets several times daily from Denver (DEN) to MTJ,

American Airlines will also fly mainline 737 jets twice daily through the season from Dallas Ft. Worth (DFW) to MTJ, with a small increase in overall capacity. All United and American flights will operate through April 5, Easter weekend.

Southwest will feature four destinations this winter with the addition of Nashville (BNA), one of their primary focus cities, running on Saturdays in March. Southwest Denver service will include 1-3 daily flights to MTJ, along with Dallas Love Field (DAL) running 2-5 times weekly, and Austin operating on Saturdays in March.

Delta will continue with daily service from Atlanta (ATL) to MTJ, and Breeze Airways returns for its second season with twice-weekly flights from John Wayne Airport in Orange County (SNA), providing second airline and airport options for Southern California travelers.

Denver Air Connection will also continue its highly popular daily service from Denver (DEN) and Phoenix (PHX) into Telluride Regional Airport (TEX), just 10 minutes from town and the resort, with travelers able to connect through the United, American and Delta networks.

“This season marks another step forward in providing travelers with expanded and more convenient flight options for Telluride and the Western Slope, featuring nonstop service from 13 major hubs,” said Skinner. “We are thrilled to welcome both new and returning service with our airline partners, and to continue to deliver on economic growth and sustainability for our region.”

Over the past decade, CFA’s Air Program has been a proven model of success with 193% growth, outpacing both regional and industry benchmarks across all four seasons. Air service has directly delivered on economic development: air passenger growth and local tax revenues have tracked almost identically. As a remote destination, air service is critical to San Miguel County’s economy, generating 59% of tourism economic output and supporting 62% of tourism-based jobs, according to recent studies.

All United seasonal, American, and Denver Air PHX flights will operate through April 5, Easter weekend. DEN flights with United, Southwest and Denver Air, along with DFW on American, continue to operate year-round. For full flight schedules and booking links, visit www.coloradoflights.org/schedule.
